Lending a helping hand

With Covid-19 restrictions coming to an end, bus operators around the country have found themselves in an unusual predicament. Although for many months, there has been a shortage of buses with the requirement for additional duplicate services, many operators are now finding themselves with a driver shortage. The situation has mainly been caused through a strike at the DVSA in Swansea, creating a long delay in drivers being issued with licences – a problem which will hopefully be resolved soon.

In the North East, A-Line Coaches, Arriva North East, Coatham Coaches, Go North East, Henry Cooper, JH Coaches and Stanley Travel have been working together to cover work to avoid passenger disappointment.
